What Exactly Is Lupus Anticoagulant?

Got blood work done a few weeks back to check my ANA and some other stuff. My ANA came back negative for lupus. But my results were out of range for the lupus anticoagulant. What does this even mean? Any help from anyone would be great. Thanks!

APS is what mine came back. They usually just monitor your levels and clotting factors unless you have had a clot. I take 325 mg aspirin daily for mine.

Lupus anticoagulant isn’t really the lupus you’re thinking of. Did you have a panel done with your ANA? I tested positive twice and negative once. Doesn’t mean you don’t have lupus, especially if you have other symptoms. Are your kidneys functioning properly? Did they check your C3/C4?

Your Ana can either be positive or negative but that doesn't mean you don't have Lupus it's just negative right now. Do you have Antiphospholipid syndrome? This would explain the other results

I didn’t have the rash when I got my blood work done. And I didn’t have any swelling. I’m just soooooo tired all the time and achey. I also get numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. I’ve also suffered multiple miscarriages. I had one successful pregnancy and I had a huge blot clot in my placenta with my baby. High risk pregnancy and bled the whole time. I’m thinking this has something to do with that as well/it’s somehow related. I just want answers :( literally can’t find anything that I can actually understand about lupus anticoagulant lol

Oh girl… you have the exact same symptoms as me. Your Mylar rash is classic, my Rheum. explained the white areas on the sides of the nose it typically spares. Hmmmm Your ranges aren’t even elevated… they’re high….
I just did a bit of research… you probably definitely have some sort of clotting disorder, infection (less likely if your WBC is normal) or autoimmune-disease (clearly by your Mylar rash) I guess these antibodies can present themselves before other tests start to change.

Did you get blood tested while you had your Mylar rash? Do you have any swelling in your handsa/feet?
